  • What is a Support Coordinator?
A Support Coordinator is a professional who plays a vital role in assisting individuals with disabilities to navigate the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and access the supports and services they need. They assess individual needs, connect participants with appropriate service providers, create tailored support plans, facilitate communication, and provide ongoing advocacy and assistance to ensure participants' goals are met within the NDIS framework. Autism Intuition Support Coordinators are dedicated to empowering you as a participant to lead fulfilling lives and make the most of your NDIS plans.
  • What is the difference between a Support Coordinator and a Plan Manager?
Support Coordinators primarily focus on coordinating and connecting participants to the necessary supports and services outlined in their NDIS plans. They are goal oriented and work closely with the participant to help them achieve their goals outlined in their NDIS plan. A Support Coordinator should be a strong advocate for their participants within the NDIS system, ensuring their needs are heard and respected. They will continue to monitor the progress of the participants and facilitate regular reviews of the NDIS plan to ensure any adjustments are made in alignment with changed circumstances or new goals. Plan Managers are responsible for the financial and admin side of a participants NDIS plan. They will ensure payments and made, processing claims and invoices and ensuring budgets are tracked. They will be able to provide financial reports to participants to allow transparency on how the funds are being spent. Many NDIS participants have a Support Coordinator and Plan Manager to ensure comprehensive support. If you are in need of a plan manager, Autism Intuition can work with you and provide recommendations that align to you.
